OFFICIAL WEBSITE
The HemiXpress is a 1965 Dodge A-100 pickup truck built by the legendary Bob "Hemi Under Glass" Riggle. It is now owned and driven by Marty Mohr.
Marty is one of the Hottest rookie stars in the world of wheelstanding.
Since a very early age Marty has had a fascination with cars and going fast, he's convinced that he knew the firing order of a big-block Chrysler long before he could count to ten. It is Marty's desire to continue to thrill drag racing and car show audiences young and old by showing and/or performing full 1/4 mile wheelstands with this nostalgic wheelstander. His first car was a 1968 Dodge Charger with a 383ci engine which was quickly replaced by a "Ground Pounding", Big-Block 440ci with dual four-barrel carbs, a lot of automobile for a 16 year-old kid!
In 1995 while attending a Mopar show in Milan, Michigan, Marty met drag-racing and wheelstanding legend Bob Riggle. Bob and Marty became instant friends. Not long after that, Bob began building the 1965 Dodge A-100 that was to become the HemiXpress with Marty in the driver's seat.
This nostalgic vehicle is a full frame, steel bodied truck powered by a 2000 horsepower "Blown" alcohol hemi. Turn back time to the late 1960's when men like Bob Riggle and his "Hemi Under Glass" and Bill "Maverick" Golden and his "Little Red Wagon" were thrilling fans for the first time with breathtaking wheelstands.

When asked how he copes, Marty states that he simply relies on his faith in God and refers to Philippians 4:13 -"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Marty is a family man. He and his wife Cheryl have been married since 1978, they have two daughters Billy Jo and Jessica and a son Jeremiah and his wife Miranda. Marty owns a screenprinting business and campaigns the HemiXpress. If we can be of service in any way, whether it be a "Show" only event or a racing event, please contact us for more information. |
